BOOK: YOGA’S YAMAS and NIYAMAS – 10 Principles for Peace & Purpose Available on Amazon!

Yamas for instagramThe Yamas and Niyamas are yoga’s essential, ethical principles. The Yamas (how to treat  others) and the Niyamas (how to care for yourself) include values such as peace, truth, gratitude, and contentment and make life more manageable and meaningful. This book is a practical, relatable text for yoga instructors who want to incorporate yoga philosophy into their teaching or yoga students/teacher trainees who are deepening their understanding of the first two limbs of yoga. There is a chapter for each Yama and Niyama explaining what it is as well as a physical yoga practice, consideration, mantra, journal prompt, and a personal account of how the author used the principle in her own life.

Hello Courtney, and greetings from up here near Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada. I am also a yoga teacher, and purchased your Kindle book on Amazon.ca a couple days ago. What with the book and your videos, this Yamas & Niyamas project is clearly something you have put a great deal of your mind, heart and soul into. Thank you for your efforts and your authentic sharing. Best wishes, and stay well in the weird COVID era we are living.

Neil! So nice to hear from you. Your words are kind and mean so much – thank you for taking the time to write them! I did spend a lot of time thinking, practicing, and conceptualizing these principles – I’m glad you can tell! Something tells me you are a very thoughtful teacher yourself! Wishing you love and healthy wishes during this time!
