Writing is like playing an instrument or a sport. You get better the more you do it. The first half of this book will teach you about story elements and craft – the essential tools and techniques that will make you a better writer. The second half will take you on an exploration of genre – the various types of stories you can tell. Both sections have prompts (short assignments that spark ideas). There are also projects in various styles of creative writing, examples, reading recs, and advice!
